Senator Emmanuel Bwacha

I must confess that the outgoining Senate has been very robust in debate and otherwise, and I am also encouraged to say emmanuelbuochathat I am also a part of the success recorded in the 7th Senate because I have spoken in a number of Bills passed in the 7th Senate. But of a particular one that has gladdened my heart and that of millions of Nigerians is the one brought to the Senate which is the Bill Against the same sex marriage. The Bill is even being celebrated in Heaven. Although it might not be popular in the western Countries, but to us in this Country, we are happy because God is happy with us and this has brought Nigeria to where we are today. There has been apprehension, there has been fears that after the election,

Heavens will fall but God chose to change the situation and because he is happy with Nigeria, the election has come and gone and everything is moving on smoothly again and so we praise God for this.

Well my experience as the Chairman Senate Committee on Agriculture has being very exciting because there has been a substantial level of achievement and success in the Agricultural sector. I will want to say that if there is anything that we need to celebrate in the outgoing Government, it is the success in the Agricultural sector. It is revolution in the Agricultural sector. Whether by way of sensitisation or publication, Agriculture has recorded huge success in terms of knowing what Nigerians need. We have departed from the mono-economy which has been the order of the Day. Outside this, every Nigerian knows that Agriculture is now business and I think that this is one area that the Federal Government will hold its shoulders high and say that they have done their best during Jonathan's Administration and we are happy to be associated with this Administration.

My appeal to the incoming Administration will be that they should sustain the momentum in the Agricultural sector in terms of diversification of the Economy, and let General Buhari sustain the momentum in the Agricultural Sector.
